Privacy Policy

Effective May 15, 2026

Hobby Stall (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create a seller account, we collect your email address and a hashed password (we never store plaintext passwords).

Shop information

Sellers provide shop name, branding assets (logo, colors, fonts), payment handles (Venmo/Cash App usernames), and product listings. This information is displayed publicly on your storefront.

Buyer claim information

When a buyer submits a claim, we collect name, phone number, and optionally email address, as provided by the buyer. This information is shared with the seller to fulfill the order.

Usage and analytics

We collect standard server logs and usage analytics (pages visited, actions taken) to operate and improve the platform. We do not use behavioral advertising or third-party ad tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and shop.
  • To display your storefront to buyers.
  • To send transactional emails (e.g., account setup, important policy updates).
  • To enforce our Terms of Service and Prohibited Items Policy.
  • To respond to legal requests and comply with applicable law.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the following service providers:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Vercel — application hosting and CDN.

These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services and are bound by appropriate data processing agreements. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Buyer claim information (name, phone, email) is shared with the seller whose shop received the claim. Buyers should review sellers' own privacy practices.

4. Cookies

We use minimal cookies, primarily to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features (such as staying logged in) may not work correctly.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (including CCPA and various state privacy laws) to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Opt out of certain data uses.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at legal@hobbystall.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain account data while your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete personal information within a reasonable period, except that we retain transaction records for 7 years as required for tax and legal compliance purposes.

7. Children

Hobby Stall is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security controls on our database. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and notify users of material changes. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
