About Hobby Stall

Hobby Stall (one word: HobbyStall, at hobbystall.com) is a storefront platform for people who make things and sell them locally.

Bakers, coffee roasters, potters, candle and soap makers, backyard egg farmers, crafters. If you make something in small batches and sell it to people who can come pick it up, this is built for you.

Why it exists

Most hobby sellers take orders in three places at once: Instagram DMs, a group text, and a spreadsheet nobody trusts by Friday. It works until it does not. You lose track of who asked first, you double-sell the last loaf, and you spend more evenings reconciling messages than actually making anything.

A Hobby Stall shop replaces all of that with one link. Buyers see what is actually available, reserve what they want, and get a private order page with your pickup details. You see a list of real orders instead of a scroll of messages.

Where it came from

Hobby Stall grew out of Daymark Coffee, a small-batch roastery in Chicago. The software started as the tool we built to run our own coffee drops, because none of the existing options fit: marketplaces take a cut of every bag and bury you among strangers, and full ecommerce platforms are priced and built for businesses that ship nationally. Neither one is designed for someone selling a couple dozen bags a month to people who live nearby.

Once it worked for coffee, it turned out to work for bread, pottery, and eggs too. Hobby Stall is that tool, generalized so any small maker can run it. It is still built and run from Chicago, Illinois.

How it works

• Your own storefront link. hobbystall.com/your-shop, with your name, colors, and photos. Share it in a bio, a text, or a QR code on your market table.
• Drops or always-on. Open a scheduled drop for a set window, or keep a shop open continuously and restock as you go.
• Local pickup. You set the pickup times and places. Buyers get them on their order page and in their receipt.
• Buyers pay you directly, and we take 0%. Payment happens through your own Venmo or Cash App handle. Hobby Stall never holds your money and takes no commission on a sale. We charge a flat monthly subscription and nothing else.
